For the dog who can’t settle — and the mom who wishes she could help.

Storms rolling in. Fireworks popping. You grab your keys and those eyes say please don’t go. Drowsepaw Calm Chews are the gentle, natural way to take the edge off — a tasty bacon-flavored soft chew crafted with valerian root, chamomile, and melatonin to help support calm and relaxation when your dog needs it most.

When to reach for them:

  • Thunderstorms & fireworks
  • Separation anxiety when you leave
  • Car rides & travel stress
  • Vet visits & new environments
  • Bedtime restlessness

The 7-day lead-in — for the big days you can see coming

Travel, boarding, fireworks night, houseguests arriving: the stressful days are usually on the calendar a week early. Start then, and the chew becomes part of the routine before the routine changes.

  • Days 7 to 3 before: one serving a day, per the feeding guide on the label for your dog's weight — same time each day, ideally paired with something calm: a walk, dinner, the evening settle-down.
  • Days 2 and 1 before, and the day itself: two servings a day — one in the morning, and one 30–60 minutes before the event window (the drive, the drop-off, the first fireworks, the doorbell).
  • The 2 days after: back to one serving a day while home goes back to normal.

Same-day surprise? Skip the lead-in and go straight to a serving 30–45 minutes before the moment — that's how the chews work on their own, too.

Halloween night: beat the doorbell

For door-reactive dogs, Halloween is a three-hour doorbell marathon in the dark. Serve a chew 30–60 minutes before trick-or-treaters start — around 5 PM for most neighborhoods — and settle your dog in a back room away from the front door, with water and something familiar. If the evening runs long, a second serving per the label is fine. Costumes at the door are your job; the calm is ours.

Why dog moms love them:

  • 100 bacon-flavored soft chews per can — dogs think it’s a treat
  • Natural calming ingredients: valerian root, chamomile & melatonin
  • No CBD, no harsh sedatives — gentle, non-drowsy calm
  • Give 30–45 minutes before the stressful moment

An honest word on price

The big-name calming chew launched this season — PetLabCo's NeuraBlend — sells in a 30-day tub at $38.60 to $43.93, depending on your dog's size. Calm Chews are $29.99 for 100 chews.

They are not the same formula, and we won't pretend otherwise: NeuraBlend is built on a postbiotic blend and ashwagandha; ours is valerian root, chamomile and melatonin, in a bacon-flavored soft chew with no CBD. Different recipes, same job on the calendar: helping your dog through the loud, strange, busy days. We just don't think that help should start at forty dollars.

These chews help support relaxation and calm behavior. They are a supplement, not a medication — always follow the feeding guide on the label and consult your vet with concerns.
